Connely improves his time

Fienie Barnard came second in the 60km MTB race.

SOUTHERN CAPE NEWS - The tenth Redstone Mountain Bike and Trail Running Weekend took place at Kruisrivier between Oudtshoorn and Calitzdorp on the weekend of 6-8 May.
Aidan Connely, last year's winner of the 43km MTB race, defended his title and improved on his time, despite the wet conditions.
About 90 mountain bikers and runners took part in the 11km night ride and the 11km fun run on Friday evening and afterwards enjoyed a delicious "potjiekos" dinner.
On Saturday, due to the rain, some of the 315 entrants decided to rather enjoy the plaasbasaar than to ride or run, but this year saw more than double the entries for the 19km trail run.
