GEORGE SWIMMING NEWS - Six swimmers from Fish Eagle Aquatics recently bettered their personal times and achieved some great individual results at the SSA Regional Level 2 Championships, held at the Joan Harrison Pool in East London.

The swimmers are Jané Botha, Marilie Duvenage, Ashley Gerber, Milan Joubert, Jancke Potgieter and Matthew Tindall. Jancke Potgieter (14) won gold in the 50m and 100m breaststroke, Marilie Duvenhage (11) won silver in the 200m breaststroke and bronze in 200m freestyle, Ashley Gerber (15) silver in 200m and bronze in the 100m backstroke and Milan Joubert (11) bronze in the 200m breaststroke.

Two coaches, Franna Vorster and Rainier Mathee, accompanied the swimmers to East London and together with their Level 2 and 3 team manager, Kerry Tindall, kept the stars updated and the team together.

Fish Eagle Aquatics has a total of six coaches who coach in George, Oudtshoorn, Mossel Bay and Plettenberg Bay.
