GEORGE NEWS - Both Outeniqua Rhythmic Gymnastics' gymnasts who competed at the Western Cape Rhythmic Gymnastics Championships in Kuils River on Saturday 8 August qualified for the Western Cape team.
Olivia Grobler competed in the level 4 U9 division, in which she won gold for her free dance routine. She finished fourth overall in her category and qualified to represent the Western Cape at the upcoming national championships.
Mieke Meyer competed in the level 6 U12 division and also qualified for the team and a place at the national championships.
These results mean both gymnasts who represented the newly established George club at the provincial championships qualified for the national championships, which will be held at the Bellville Velodrome on 28 September.
