GEORGE BOWLS NEWS - The penultimate round of the Lew Geffen Sotheby's Spring Business Challenge was played in a chilly wind, but produced exciting bowls.
An excellent win by the sponsor, Lew Geffen Sotheby's International Realty, means they will play Russell Rich Foods on the final night. John Dory's, who are in third position, still have an excellent chance of winning. They will play against Stadler & Swart.
The plate event final will be contested by team Supporters and Mazars Blue, who both enjoyed good wins. The session prize, for the biggest win of the evening, was won by FNB.
Everyone enjoyed the Halloween ladies handing out the "melktertjies for touches," which were sponsored by Jan Pretorius.
The final evening will be followed by the prize-giving and all players will enjoy a complimentary steak dinner with live music.
Supporters will face Mazars Blue in the final of the plate event. They are, from left: Brian Anthony, Johan Faber, Kobus Nel and Immelman Martins.
