GEORGE NEWS - The IPF World Bench Press Champion-ship was held in Killeen, Texas, USA with South Africa getting an 18th place and a team member from George playing a role in this achievement.

There were 236 lifters from 30 different countries who participated over five days.
George had one of its own lifters, Heinrich Janse van Rensburg, representing South Africa.
Janse van Rensburg got a 5th place with a press of 160kg. This was an improvement over his 8th place in the world that he achieved last year.
He not only competed at the competition, but as media officer he took photos and had interviews with some great athletes and world champions.

"It is such an honour," Janse van Rensburg says, "to represent your country and to come to a competition like this."
The next competition where he will be working as the media officer will be the World Powerlifting Championship in November in Potchefstroom.
