GEORGE NEWS - Athletes can get ready for a double dose of adrenaline-packed action as two events hit the Garden Route this month.
First up, lace up your trail shoes for the breathtaking Oyster Catcher Trail Run along the Southern Cape coastline from 11 to 13 October.
This event is primarily designed for trail runners looking to complete their first multi-day stage race. So if you are ready to push the limits and embrace the thrill of a multi-day adventure, this is definitely for you.
A choice of two- or three-day race
The two-day race takes athletes on a 15km route between Gouritz and Boggomsbaai on day one, and a 16km route from Dana Bay to The Point in Mossel Bay on day two.
The three-day race, from 11 to 13 October, includes a 20km route on Gourikwa Nature Reserve on the first day.

The race follows the famous Oystercatcher hiking trail from Gouritz River Mouth to Mossel Bay via the St Blaize hiking route along the Southern Cape coastline.
The distances covered are manageable and the terrain is mainly single track (hiking trails) and beach running, with some technical areas to add variety.
Due to the sensitivity of the area, a limited number of only 300 runners can enter each year, so don't miss out!
