GEORGE NEWS - Eden Cue Sport athletes had reason to smile when they received well-deserved accolades for their unique snooker and billiards skills.
The annual prize-giving event took place at the George Sport Club last Friday evening.

Some hard-fought battles were displayed on the snooker tables at the George Sport Club and SAPS Snooker clubs over the last year.
"At the end, all agreed that snooker as a sport was the overall winner. What a gentleman's game," said Malcolm Pojie, Eden Cue Sport chairman and master of ceremonies at the event.

Deon Floris (left) and Malcolm Pojie (middle) represented the SAPS Snooker club. Their team (A) obtained the first place as the 2018 league champions, team format. The trophy was presented to them by snooker legend Gert Rademeyer. Deon Floris was also crowned as the Sport Personality of the year and Malcolm Pojie as the Sport Administrator of the Year.
