GEORGE NEWS - The second edition of the Bergplaas MTB and Trail Run Challenge took place on Saturday 9 April at The Flying Club on Mandalay Farm in Hoekwil.
The event forms part of the Eden XCM League and participants could choose between 5km /10km trail runs and 15km/28km/40km/70km mountain bike races.

The 28km MTB women's event was won by Anje van Niekerk. Second place belonged to Linke Oosthuizen (not in photo) and Katinka Barnard took third place.
The 70km MTB men's winners were Matthew Leppan (first), Zandre Gerber (second) and Damon Terblanche (third).
