A total of 14 golfers set off early in the morning on the Outeniqua course in cold and wet conditions and after a quick bite for lunch, the juniors teed off on the Montagu course for their second round of the day.
In the u.13 division Christian Maritz won the best net score while James Murray, playing off a three handicap, shot a level par round of 72 on Montagu – nine strokes better than his morning round to win the u.13 division comfortably.
In the division for the 14 to 18-year-olds Noel Anderson dominated with rounds of 70 and 71 to win by 13 shots. Bradley de Beer and Christo Lamprecht jnr finished on 154 and 155 respectively to take the second and third spots. Amazingly, Noel's two rounds under par included a front nine on the Montagu with four birdies and five pars for a superb 32.
The winners not only enjoyed the privilege of having their names engraved on the trophies, but local Fancourt resident and touring professional John Bland offered to take them out on SA's no.1 course, The Links, as part of their prize.
