Since then in excess of 500 dogs and cats have been neutered as a free service to underprivileged homes in the surrounding area, significantly reducing suffering caused by unwanted pets.
This valuable service to the Great Brak River area would not have been possible were it not for the generous support received from the business community, private sector and professional services of doctors and staff supplied at absolutely no cost.
"Our golf day was a superb success raising in excess of R15 000. Our sincere appreciation must go to each and every sponsor, supporter and volunteer helper who made this such a pleasurable day. Prizes of R16 500 were awarded to the top four ball teams and individual best players and a further R3 000 in prizes was given to the best "doggie style" hats worn on the day," says Caws 4 Paws Deputy Chair, Barry Greyvenstein.
