SOCCER NEWS - In a thrilling Future Stars Tournament match at the Lawaaikamp Stadium last weekend, Fast Eleven defeated Simunye 3-1 after an exciting first-half stalemate.

Mkhanyisi Manciya scored twice and Zefania Mabunda added one for Fast Eleven, while Sindile Magubane netted Simunye’s lone goal. 

The game kicked off with both teams showcasing skilful play. Simunye relied on Sibongakonke Mntambo’s strength to control the tempo, while Fast Eleven’s Manciya used his speed to challenge Simunye’s defence. 

Fast Eleven struck first with Manciya’s opening goal, pressuring Simunye’s backline. 

Simunye responded aggressively, and just before half-time, Magubane equalised at 1-1 after outmanoeuvring Fast Eleven’s goalkeeper. 

In the second half, Fast Eleven gained momentum, dominating possession. Mabunda put them ahead 2-1 with a well-executed goal from the centre. Simunye fought to level the score, but struggled to convert opportunities. 

Fast Eleven’s relentless pace overwhelmed their opponents, and Manciya sealed the victory with his second goal in the final moments, securing a 3-1 win.

The tournament finals are set for Sunday at Thembalethu Stadium.
