SOCCER NEWS - The newly promoted Paris United continued its difficult start in the Safa Eden Regional Football League, suffering a 3-1 defeat to Fast Eleven at the Lawaaikamp Stadium in George on Sunday 7 December.
This loss marked Paris United's fifth consecutive defeat since promotion from Thembalethu, leaving the newcomers still searching for their first points of the season.
Fast Eleven took the lead in the first half through Sizakhe 'Tower' Ngcongolo, who powerfully headed in a set piece from the left.
Despite Paris United's efforts to respond, the first half ended 1-0.
After the break, Paris United equalised when Ayabulela 'Jozi' Joja finished off a quick move to make it 1-1. However, the hosts regained control.
Ngcongolo scored his second goal with another set piece header, restoring Fast Eleven's lead at 2-1.
In the closing stages, Melusi 'The Shepherd' Ndizana sealed the victory with a clinical finish from a well-worked set play, making it 3-1.
Supported by strong performances from Kamvalethu Dyordane and Zefanias Mabunda, Fast Eleven dominated possession and earned a deserved three points, moving them to nine points from four matches (three wins, one loss).
The man of the match, Ngcongolo's brace highlighted his aerial threat and proved decisive in the entertaining encounter.
