FOOTBALL NEWS - The spirited Heaven Stars went down 2-1 against Fast Eleven FC in a tough Geolfa League fixture on Saturday afternoon, 18 May at Thembalethu Stadium.
Mihlali Siko and Mawande Msilelwa scored the two vital goals for the Fast Eleven team and Dyadyi Mihlali scored the solitary goal for for Heaven Stars.
The first half saw Fast Eleven scoring both their goals with the Heaven Stars goalkeeper managing to block two more attempts.
Mihlali Siko scored the first goal, capitalising on a penalty. Sihle Manyana of Heaven Stars tried his luck with a powerful shot inside the box, but it was brilliantly saved by the goalkeeper. The second goal for Fast Eleven came from the boot of Mawanda Msilelwa, ensuring that his side was leading 2-0 into the break.
Heaven Stars had to chase the game in the second half and were looking very sharp on the ball. Excellent footwork during a driving movement paid off when Mihlali Dyadyi broke through and scored their first goal to make it 2-1.
Both teams failed to capitalise from clear-cut chances during the rest of the second half and Fast Eleven came out victorious, collecting maximum points.
