SOCCER NEWS - The George Local Football Association Easter Soccer Tournament will continue at Thembalethu Stadium in George this coming weekend. 

This follows after the tournament had to be interrupted due to heavy rain and waterlogged playing fields on Easter Monday, 21 April. 

Four teams will be battling it out for the top prize of R25 000 and the runners-up will go home with R13 000.

Madibaz, the team from Nelson Mandela University, will be locking horns with Simunye FC in the first semi-final game. Both teams are plying their trade in the Safa Eden regional league. 

In the second semi-final, regional league team Fast Eleven will take on the spirited Paris United of the Geolfa Promotional League. 

The first semi-final will start at 10:00 and the second at 12:00. The final will be played at 15:30 at Thembalethu Stadium. 

Anticipation is building - will Madibaz' Likamvelihle Dano (22) continue his fine form of scoring goals and lead his side to the first Easter soccer tournament title?
