GEORGE FOOTBALL - Smuts United FC from Sedgefield have to be regretting that they did not take the newly promoted Fast Eleven more seriously in their Regional League game last Saturday.
Fast Eleven slammed Smuts United with a 3-0 score at the Lawaaikamp Stadium in George.
Both teams are currently sitting in the bottom half of the Regional League log table.
The home side, Fast Eleven, kicked off and soon Inathi Mabele got an opportunity to try for a goal, but his shot went wide.
The Sedgefield team received a corner kick, but again the Fast Eleven backline swept away the ball. Both teams missed some clear-cut opportunities inside the box and the first half ended scoreless.
In the second half, both teams were more focused. The Sedgefield players Corne Melite and Brendan Kasanga drew some attention with their skilful attacks inside the box.
However, Nlosiyethu Seyibokwe of Fast Eleven took the game from Smuts United leading to two quick goals by Nkosiyethu Seyibokwe.
Both teams were now attacking, but again it was a Fast Eleven player, Mkhanyisi Manciya, who scored, making the final score 3-0 and handing Fast Eleven maximum points at home.
