Siyanda Xulu, Lucky Baloyi, Camaldine Abraw, Lewis Macha, Enocent Mkhabela, Siphelele Mthembu and Michelle Katsvairo are the players to be released.
Xulu, Baloyi, Abraw and Macha have had their contracts terminated by mutual consent, while Mkhabela has been given the chance to make his loan move to Platinum Stars permanent.
Mthembu's contract will not be extended and Katsvairo will be made available for loan. The release of the seven comes about due to the lack of impact each had at first team level.
Earlier, Mabedi was appointed to take over from previous assistant John Paintsil.
