CRICKET NEWS - Thembalethu High School cricket player Enathi Khitshini has been selected for the South Africa u.19 men’s squad set to tour Namibia for a three-match 50-over series later this month.
Khitshini is a left arm-spinner.
The series, which forms part of preparation for the ICC U19 Men’s Cricket World Cup 2026, gets under way at the Namibia Cricket Ground in Windhoek on 28 April.
The second match will follow on 30 April at the same venue, before the series wraps at the High Performance Oval on 2 May.
SA u.19 convenor of selectors Patrick Moroney commented, “The squad was selected with an eye on next year’s u.19 World Cup in Namibia and Zimbabwe.
"We’ve stuck with the core group of players who have performed consistently, while also rewarding those who impressed for the CSA Emerging team in the one-day cup.
"Along with this tour, we will also have camps with the extended focus group and a home series against Bangladesh, all of which will assist us to finalise the squad that will represent the junior Proteas at the World Cup.”
