CRICKET NEWS - It was another disappointing weekend for the Garden Route Badgers women's team as they suffered back-to-back defeats in both the Pro50 and Pro20 fixtures in the Cricket SA Hollywoodbets Pro series.
The Badgers women travelled to Potchefstroom last weekend and took on the North West Dragons.
In the Pro50 match on Saturday, Mieke de Ridder (109) scored an excellent century as the Badgers posted 192/8 - but this competitive target was surpassed by the home side who posted 195/3 after 47.2 overs for a three-wicket victory.
In the Pro20 match on Sunday, the Badgers were dismissed for a modest 119, after which the Dragons reached the target after 15.3 overs for an eight-wicket bonus point victory.
The Badgers women, who are in the relegation zone, will host the Hollywoodbets in Oudtshoorn this weekend.
