CRICKET NEWS - The Garden Route Badgers rural team that will participate in the Cricket SA Rural Tournament for Coastal Provinces at the University of Fort Hare in Alice, Eastern Cape, from 12 to15 February was announced this week.

The team will be captained by Anaxolo Khitshini of the Pacaltsdorp United Cricket Club. He represented the SA Rural Team last season.

The other team members are Keenan Arries (Union Stars CC), Camron Avontuur (Harlequins Forces CC), Duren Felix (Pacaltsdorp United), Mihlali Gcanga (Thembalethu CC), Davino Koert (Ramblers CC), Corné Kennedy (Union Stars CC), Thurtin Murphy, Joviano Tock, Adriaan van der Merwe and Yamkela Xakani (all Union Stars), Gavindhino Pietersen (Harlequins Forces CC) and Matthew Thorne (Pacaltsdorp United CC).

Pieter Stuurman is the team's head coach.
