SOUTHERN CAPE NEWS - Nine Candidates from various clubs in the SWD completed the theory course and examination presented by Athletics SWD as part of a Road Running Referee Course, which was held last Friday at Olympia School in Pacaltsdorp.

The course was presented by: Shireen Noble and Moses Gericke. The candidates will now continue with the practical side of the course.
In order to qualify they need to do duty at a minimum of 5 road races before they are certified as Provincial Level 1 Road Running Referees.

They candidates were Alta Fourie (De Rust Striders); Christo Niemand (RWFL- Oudtshoorn); Des Harris (Hartenbos Drawwers); Elize Fisher (Laingsburg AC); Leslie Abrahams (Outeniqua Harriers); Neil Hendrickse (Laingsburg AC) Petro Buys (Laingsburg AC); Reginald Mitchell (Nedbank Running Club) and Willie Freeks (RWFL - Oudtshoorn).
