GEORGE NEWS - The picturesque village of Hoekwil in the Western Cape is gearing up to host the South African Duathlon Championships on Saturday 12 July.
Athletes from across the country will descend upon this scenic Garden Route destination to test their limits across four challenging race categories: long, standard, sprint and super sprint distances.
With breathtaking views, fresh country air and a fast yet demanding course, the event promises top-tier racing action and unforgettable moments.
The race starts at 08:00 and the end time is at 16:00.
Participants are reminded that registration will take place at the Wilderness Hotel between 16:00 and 19:00 on Friday 11 July.
Early registration is advised to avoid last-minute queues and ensure a smooth race day.
To cap off a full day of racing and celebration, the official closing function will be held at Fairy Knowe Hotel at 18:00 on the evening of 12 July - a chance for athletes, supporters and organisers to come together and toast the champions of 2025.
