SCHOOL NEWS - Greenwood Bay College would like to congratulate the matric class of 2024 on their AS Cambridge International level examination achievements. There are several highlights to be celebrated, but as a general point it is worth celebrating our overall aggregate which has increased on last year, as has our distinction rate.
It is also important to commend the role of the teachers throughout our matriculants' school journey as well as the support and encouragement of this group's parents.
As is the case in every set of results, each pupil has his or her own particular context; and results alone do not tell the entire story. Each result has a context and there are times when a result is a less obvious but just as commendable triumph.
However important the exit exam of the school, it is important to celebrate the grit and determination of this cohort of pupils and also to remember that education is about these results, but also about the values, skills, habits and relationships that our pupils take out into the world after they leave their school.
The matric class of 38 students wrote the AS level exams and there were 28 subject distinctions. The most promising results were in biology, chemistry and physics.
