GEORGE NEWS - In the lead-up to the State of the Nation Address (Sona), Jethro Grootboom, the Government Communication and Information System's (GCIS) regional communications co-ordinator, and Bulumko Kula of Eden FM visited the George Transport Hub to engage with the residents and hear what issues they would like President Cyril Ramaphosa to address.
Safety, job creation and housing opportunities were the top concerns the first 10 individuals interviewed in town brought up.
The Sona will take place at 19:00 on Thursday 12 February. It will be broadcast live on Parliament TV (Channel 408) and live-streamed on Parliament's YouTube channel.
George will play the host to the State of the Province Address (Sopa) to be held at the Conville Civic Centre on 25 and
26 February. The proceedings will be live-streamed for public viewing.
