GEORGE NEWS - George Municipal Manager Trevor Botha has 7 days to provide reasons to prevent his suspension.
An urgent motion by the DA was carried in Council today demanding Botha's suspension.
It is believed that various allegations including financial misconduct led to the motion.
This past week Botha was involved in a spat with Local Government MEC Anton Bredell after he ordered an investigation into the municipality's affairs.
