Former Mean Mr Mustard frontman, Andries Botha, was arrested just hours before he was scheduled to perform at The Barn in Plett after allegedly “pushing around” a sound engineer before the show and then verbally abusing locals and breaking a window at the home of one of the venue’s barmen.
According to witnesses, Botha appeared drunk during the incidents.
This week, the singer – who also has a solo career and performs with his brother Ghapi Botha in the band Georgia – admitted to drinking heavily and said he was ready to “turn his life around” and undergo rehabilitation.
