Rules for attendance at funerals under level 2 lockdown

NATIONAL NEWS - New regulations under lockdown alert level 2 are effective from today (18 August) as per the Disaster Management Act which has been extended until 15 September.

If attending a funeral, take note of the following rules:

  • Attendance at a funeral is limited to 50 persons and will not be regarded as a prohibited gathering.
  • Night vigils are not allowed.
  • During a funeral, a person must wear a face mask and adhere to all health protocols and social distancing measures.
