KNYSNA NEWS - Jessica Turpin, a learner at Oakhill Primary School, recently raked in two gold medals in the photographic and contemporary dance categories at the South African Championships of Performing Arts' (SACOPA) national competition, held in Rustenburg.
Her accomplishments include winning an additional two bronze and one silver medal in the jazz and ballet dance categories.
This impressive performance has earned her a place in the South African team, set to travel to Los Angeles in July next year to participate in the annual World Championships of Performing Arts, highlighting her as a rising star in the performing arts.
The SACOPA serves as a national platform for both novice and experienced performers, showcasing a variety of arts including acting, dance, instrumental music, modelling, and vocals.
