It is believed that cleaners discovered the body at around 5.50am laying between the graves at the cemetery which is situated on the corner of Halgryn and Luipaard Streets on 8 January.
“Krugersdorp police were deployed to the scene and found the body in a pool of blood. The victim sustained head injuries and it seemed as if she was hit with a large object on the head,” Krugersdorp Police spokesperson, Sergeant Tshepiso Mashale said.
The victim was identified by some of her friends on the scene.
