The refreshed Polo sedan now comes with a three-year/45 000km service plan as standard, which should give buyers peace of mind when driving off in their new car.
What’s more, the Polo sedan has - like the hatch - been given a mild facelift.
The exterior has been given a contemporary appearance with redesigned front and rear bumpers as well as headlights and front fog lights for the Comfortline derivatives. The Comfortline derivatives also feature chrome accents on the door handles, front lower grille, boot lid and lower rear bumper. Meanwhile, the Trendline derivatives are now offered with colour-coded side mirrors and door handles. The indicators, which were previously on the fenders, have been integrated into the side mirrors.
The new interior features include a new radio, new seat trims, a flat-bottomed multifunction steering wheel as well as a multifunction display. Volkswagen reckons that these updates have given the Polo sedan a more premium look and feel.
Under the hood, Volkswagen has replaced the 77kW 1.6TDI engine with a new 1.5TDI. The new engine also delivers 77kW of power.
The Polo Sedan can be customised with the following convenience optional features, namely, rear park distance control, cruise control (standard in Comfortline derivatives) and rain sensor with auto-dimming interior mirror (only available in Comfortline derivatives).
In addition to the standard three-year/45 000km service plan, the new model range also comes standard with a three-year/120 000km warranty and a 12-year anti corrosion warranty.
