GEORGE NEWS - About 100 women from across George gathered at the Banquet Hall on Sunday 30 August for a women’s high tea.
The event is organised annually by Cynthia Boltman, founder of Khanyisithemba and leader of Ebenezer Ministries International, which has been active in George since 2017 through weekly mobile soup drives and mentorship initiatives for vulnerable youth.
The theme for this year, ‘I Am Set on High’, was inspired by Psalm 113:7-8, which speaks of God lifting people from the dust and placing them among people of influence.
The event brought together women from diverse backgrounds, including community leaders, pastors, professionals and women from disadvantaged neighbourhoods, and aimed to create connections and offer support.
The afternoon featured praise and worship, creative dance performances and motivational keynote presentations focusing on women’s mental health, emotional healing and financial wellness.
