Two arrested for murder in Nelson Mandela Boulevard

The suspects aged 23 and 27 were arrested in Borcherds in connection with the murder. The pair remains in police custody.

GEORGE NEWS - Two men were arrested in connection with the death of a man (42) in Nelson Mandela Boulevard.

The suspects aged 23 and 27 were arrested in Borcherds and remains in police custody. 

This followed after George police members responded to a stabbing incident on Friday 13 December at about 21:20.

Sgt Chris Spies, police spokesperson, said the members found the victim with a stab wound to the chest upon arrival. "Medical personnel declared the victim dead on scene."

The suspects are expected to make their first court appearance in the George Magistrates’ Court on Tuesday 17 December on a charge of murder.
