Update

GARDEN ROUTE NEWS - The latest Garden Route fire update issued by Garden Route JOC

RIVERSDALE
Fire was contained and prevented from going into the Garcia Plantation. Mopping-up operations will continue today.

The fire line on the north side of the mountain was well contained by chopper bombing and was continued early this morning. The fire is currently high up in the mountain and is pushed back with a north-easterly wind. 

The fire poses no threat at this stage.

WABOOMSKRAAL / JONKERSBERG
The fire breaks that were created with bulldozers yesterday helped to contain the fire above the top contour line and thick mist cooled the line down during the night. Mopping-up will continue during the day.
