GEORGE NEWS - It's showtime in George this Saturday and Sunday!
The South Cape Chapter of the South African Koi Keepers Society will once again host the popular annual Assupol Koi Show at the Garden Route Mall on 22 and 23 March.
Koi fish are among the most highly prized fish to keep, described by many collectors as living jewels.
The search for that unique koi and the challenge of creating an ideal environment, make koi keeping one of the most fascinating hobbies.
A large variety of koi fish and other koi related products will be on sale at the show.
Goldfish and bonsai join in the fun
New to this year's show will be a goldfish exhibition as well as a showing of intriguing and unique bonsai trees. In order to connect hobbyists and enthusiasts, the South African Fancy Goldfish Organisation (Safga) will be present and visitors can ask experts to share information.
Members of the Kat Rivier Kai Bonsai Club will also be available to answer questions about their exotic hobby.
The koi show will be open on Saturday 22 March from 09:00 to 16:00 and on Sunday 23 March from 09:00 to 13:00. Entrance fees are only R10 for adults and R5 for children under the age of 12.
