KNYSNA NEWS – Five days have passed since Gert Hills (81) left his home in Kamdebo Avenue, Old Place, Knysna, on Friday 18 July, to buy pigeon food in town. He has not been seen since and his family remains hopeful for his safe return.
Hills is a well-known pigeon farmer in the Garden Route Area.
Since leaving Knysna, Hills's vehicle has been spotted by cameras in George, Mossel Bay and Great Brak River.
At the time of his disappearance, Hills was dressed in a black top and silk trousers. He was driving a silver Nissan Juke with registration number CX14 107, which was later spotted on Friday evening in Little Brak River, between George and Mossel Bay.
Search efforts are currently focused in and around the Little Brak River area, including the Robinson Pass, as authorities continue their efforts to locate him.
Police urge anyone who may have seen Hills or his vehicle, or who has any information that could assist in locating him, to come forward.
