GEORGE NEWS - The George Police were recognised for their achievements at the annual Provincial Prestige Excellence Awards 2024/25 held at the Century City Conference Centre in Cape Town on Saturday 17 January.
The Western Cape comprises 151 police stations, and George stood out with several accolades:
• Constable Alshandre Louw - second runner-up, man of the year
• Sergeant Charl Botha - sportman of the year
• Warrant Officer Wendy Lee - woman of the year
• Captain Deon Floris - second runner-up, sportman of the year
The awards celebrate the dedication, skill and hard work of the local police and community members across the province.
