GEORGE NEWS - Conville police opened a culpable homicide docket following the death of a 59-year-old man who was hit by a vehicle on the corner of Nelson Mandela Boulevard and Streepkoppie Street, Conville.
According to Warrant Officer Chris Spies, Southern Cape police spokesperson, Conville police members responded to the scene on Saturday 25 April at about 20:00.
They found a male pedestrian who had been knocked over by a bus and had sustained serious injuries.
He was transported to a medical facility for treatment.
"The man was declared dead by medical personnel earlier today. Circumstances surrounding the incident are under investigation," said Spies.
