GEORGE NEWS - Ward 26 in Blanco came alive as the ward committee, Cllr Marelna Gultig, Chief Whip Jackie von Brandis, the Blanco Neighbourhood Watch, several local businesses and residents officially launched the Park Revolution at Soeteweide Park in Montagu Street.

Driven by a shared vision, this once-overlooked space has been transformed into a welcoming community hub by cleaning and restoring the park and repainting its walls.

The highlight of the day was the unveiling of a brand-new concrete seating area and additional benches. This creates a space where families can gather, connect and enjoy the outdoors.

The energy was undeniable, with a fantastic turnout, great conversations and of course, hotdogs enjoyed all around. 

Even some four-legged residents were part of the celebrations.
