GEORGE NEWS - Pacaltsdorp Police are investigating a murder after the body of Daniel Jacobus (64) was found at his home in Amaryllis Street on Thursday morning, 6 July.
According to Southern Cape police spokesperson Sgt Chris Spies, available information shows that police were called to the scene at about 11:50 that morning.
“On arrival the members found the man’s body with visible scratches to his face and neck. He was declared dead by paramedics on scene,” he said.
According to a source with insights into the incident, Jacobus was found with a scarf stuffed inside his mouth.
An autopsy to determine the cause of death is expected to be conducted today.
No arrest has been made yet and the investigation into the killing continues.
