UNIONDALE NEWS - A drive-through centre for Uniondale is opening today, Tuesday 14 April, at the Uniondale Town Hall.
The centre will operate daily from 09:00 to 14:00 and serve as a depot from where food parcels will be made up and distributed to local people in need.
Donations will be received by officials wearing the necessary safety gear and items will be sanitised and stored.
The centre can receive only non-perishables as it does not have fridges or freezers. Food, hygiene and cleaning products are very welcome.
Food delivered at homes
Please note that the centre will not be a hand-out centre to individuals. People in need of food should not come to the centre.
Food parcels will be delivered at homes. If you live in the Uniondale or Haarlem municipal ward and require a food parcel and have not yet received a parcel from the municipality or any other entity, please phone 084 501 0168 to register.
