GEORGE NEWS - Last week Thursday, 19 March, the community came together at Thembalethu Library to celebrate Library week.
The event was filled with excitement as readers enjoyed storytelling and excerpts from Menziwa's books.
Nkosinathi Menziwa, a correctional services officer at George Correctional Services and long-time Thembalethu resident, who recently received the Mandela Bay Literary Award for Best Indigenous Language Book and the author of the latest book Kukud’ Engqinibeni – Ingqokelela yamabali amafutshane nezincoko, also joined the celebration.
He handed out free copies of his books to participants, encouraging a love of reading. The group also formed a new Book Club.

Menziwa said it was inspiring to see the curiosity and enthusiasm of the readers, a reminder of why libraries remain vital spaces for learning, imagination, and growth.
