GEORGE NEWS - At least 10 people were injured in an accident earlier this morning on the N2 highway near Pacaltsdorp after a small truck hit a horse.
One patient was transported to the hospital in a critical condition. This is the second incident in a week on that section of the road involving a horse.
Last Wednesday, 31 July a bakkie travelling in the direction of Mossel Bay also hit a horse in the road. The animal died on impact.
More information will follow as soon as it becomes available.
Traffic is also backed up in town as road works taking place in various parts of town play havoc with the early morning traffic.
