GEORGE NEWS - Lynne Atkinson and Jonathan Gray sent us the following letter and photo:

"This was the view from our stoep in Waboomskraal just after we received a message urging everyone from Fernridge and Blanco to evacuate, over the police WhatsApp broadcast.

The view was truly terrifying. I cropped the photo, taken by my husband Jonathan Gray (creator of the Red Berry Farm Maze, yes, the guy with the dreadlocks) and placed it on my Stoned Olive Photography Facebook page.

To our astonishment the photo almost instantly went viral. It's been shared over a thousand times and reached over 104 000 people - according to FB stats. We've received videos containing it from as far as England and America.

We were completely stunned by the response and thought we would share our story with you.
