GEORGE NEWS - The incident in which the tourist was robbed at Dolphin's Point, happened on Sunday 3 November at about 16:45, according to Capt Nolonwabo Tshengu, George police spokesperson.
Tshengu said the woman (50) was with her 52-year-old male friend when two men allegedly demanded her bag. "They kept pushing her down and assaulted her with a knife. She sustained multiple injuries to her head, arms and body and was taken to hospital for medical observation," said Tshengu.
The two tourists were robbed of their travelling documents and a camera. "A case of robbery with a weapon was opened at George SAPS. No one has been arrested yet but the investigation continues."
