GARDEN ROUTE | KAROO NEWS - It is World Leopard Day today, 3 May and this will be celebrated in George on Friday 6 May with this year's Leopard Conservation Talk hosted by Dr Bool Smuts, director of the Landmark Foundation.
The programme will feature various talks about threats to leopards, local leopard conservation, as well as the significance of leopards in the wild.
The event will start at 11:00 at the Moriarty Hall at the Garden Route Botanical Garden. Entrance will be free and tea and cake will be available from the Marshmallow Garden Café.
Any donations towards the botanical garden or the Landmark Foundation will be welcome.
The event is held in collaboration with Wessa, CapeNature and the Environmental Education Centre.
