GEORGE NEWS - There is currently the rehabilitation of Mall Road from Knysna Road to Builders Warehouse, and the rehabilitation of a section of Park Road near the Blue Mountain Circle.
The project is expected to continue from 14 March to 18 April.
Service disruption
No municipal service disruption is anticipated as a direct result of the works. Water, electricity and sanitation service should not be affected by the project.
Impact on traffic
During construction access to the Garden Route Mall, Eden Meander, SARS and Blue Mountain will be maintained at all times. The work on Mall Road is expected to cause some delays at peak periods due to high traffic volumes.
Extra care is to be taken by road users throughout the duration of the entire construction period. Adherence to temporary road signs and markings will be required.
The safety and convenience of travelling public are of utmost importance.
Every effort will be made to ensure that there is minimal disruption during construction and that due courtesy is extended to the travelling public.
