GEORGE NEWS - According to a media statement by George Municipality, refuse collection will be affected by the public holiday on Thursday 24 September.
Refuse scheduled for collection on Heritage Day (Thursday 24 September), will be collected on Friday 25 September.
Collection commences 07:00 on Friday and may extend into the night due to the double collection schedule.
Friday areas, which include Glenwood, Loerie Park, Eden, Genevafontein, Denver Park, Bergsig, Eastern Extension and applicable businesses, will be collected first and then Thursday’s areas will be cleared.
Those whose refuse is normally collected on Thursdays and will be affected, include Wilderness Heights, Dormehlsdrift, George South, Le Grand, Bos en Dal, Groeneweidepark, Sinksabrug, Herold, Geelhoutboom, Eselsjacht, Hansmoeskraal, Jonkershoek, Rooirivierrif, Pacaltsdorp, Rosedale and Waboomskraal.
