GEORGE NEWS - George Herald was informed early this morning, 23 August, that two trial awaiting prisoners escaped from the George Prison during the night.
Information at this stage indicates that the prisoners escaped around 03:00 and a manhunt is underway.
A request for information and photos of the escapees was sent to the Department of Correctional Services and the police, their comment is being awaited.
