GARDEN ROUTE | KAROO NEWS - In a statement issued by the Garden Route District Municipality, on 22 January, one wildfire is currently active in the Garden Route.
One wildfire is still active and being attended to.
- Rooiberg Mountain Fire
The northern fire line burning to the southwest of Zoar, is still active, burning in deep and inaccessible gorges. It is currently monitored.
Ground crews of CapeNature have contained the accessible southern fire line.
Garden Route District Municipality's (GRDM) firefighting crew remains on standby for any threat to infrastructure.
