GEORGE NEWS - Chris Mobsby will deliver a lecture to U3A entitled 'Philately - an investment in life' on Friday, 16 February at 10:30.
Mobsby is an ardent philatelist and he will take the audience around the world via his stamp collection.
He has visited many outlandish places throughout his varied life and he has many stories to tell.
He is a member of the Royal Philatelic Society and although now retired he still contributes articles to the South African Philatelic Journal.
All are welcome at the talk that will be held at Emmaüs in Memorium Street and to listen to Mobsby tell some fascinating things about stamp collecting – there is much more to this hobby than just collecting pretty pictures with sticky backs.
