GARDEN ROUTE | KAROO NEWS - Despite facing three days of rain and challenging circumstances, the Garden Route District Municipality's (GRDM) Senior Firefighter, Emile Conrad, added a feather to his cap at the Toughest Firefighter Alive South Africa (TFA-SA) Competition.
He is the outright winner of the 'Men's Individual’ category in South Africa for a sixth time in his age category.
Also, well done to first-time participant and winner of the female category, Maithamako Moswete from West Rand.
In other categories GRDMs Bonita Conrad won first place in her age category 35-39, David van Niekerk won first place in the male 50 - 55, whilst GRDM's male over 40 team won second place overall, and GRDM's rookie Ethan Wildeman at 18 years old won 3rd place in the category 18-29.
GRDM would also like to thank the organisers, participants, and sponsors who have made the second consecutive Mossel Bay-held TFA-SA Competition possible.
